Hinterhaus shares stories about people: the DJ first breaking into the scene, the artists on the up and up, agents, promoters, night managers, sound engineers, lighting technicians, awareness teams, bartenders, door people, and others who labour for a certain kind of love only found on the dance floor.
Hinterhaus is an antidode to doom scrolling of 30 second reels. We find interesting people and share their stories properly. Interviews where you learn something, get inspired, and meet genuinely interesting people.
Hinterhaus is unashamedly long form content in a world with less and less attention. We chase stories not clicks, readers not followers, listeners not likes. We write for people not algorithms.
We know this is a dying art. The internet wants short form video, 15 second interviews and soundbites. We can’t tell a story with nuance, contradiction and humanity in that format. So we stick with long form writing because it’s what we want the internet to be. When there are very few sources like this remaining, we will be one of the last ones standing.
